Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

So i’ve been doing weight watchers for 3 weeks now.

I’ve always had issues with weight going up and down. When I started dating my now husband I managed to keep it off. I worked in a medical center and walked around and was on my feet ALL day. I kept my weight at a steady 140-145, which I wasn’t happy with at the time (go figure) but would LOVE to be at now.

Once I got married in 02 I gradually put on weight and after 4 years of marriage I had gained 40 lbs putting me at 185. I got me an elliptical to get started lossing weight and I did end up lossing some but things would happen and I would gain it back. Then Dec 06 I got pregnant with Anna and I went from 185 to 200 at Anna’s birth. I think once I hit 200 I was pretty upset with myself.

After Anna was born in Aug 07 I lost all my weight that I had gained while pregnant, plus a little. I got back down to 180 but went back to 185 by the end of last year. Since Anna had been born the elliptical has been collecting cobwebs and by the end of April 08 I had gained another 7 lbs.

My breaking point to get started lossing weight was when a little old lady asked me when my second baby was due. I was pretty mortified as I wasn't pregnant, just fat. :P

My high weight (non-pregnant) was 192. I started weight watchers on May 7th 2008 and have since loss 6.2 lbs bringing me to 185.8 lbs thus far. I couldn't be more excited about lossing weight. I truly believe this is the program that will get me were I want to be and stay there. :)

Congrats on your success so far. Isn't it funny how you look back at the weight you were and think "I wish I were there now" even though you hated it at the time? I got down to 169 (a size 8-10) doing Atkins, and though I looked good and felt great, I was focused on the last 9 pounds ... I wanted to be 160, but never quite got there.

Congratulations! Keep up the good work. I started almost a year ago and have lost 60 lbs. I always told myself that in a year I could have lose a lot of weight or I could gain weight. I think that is how I have stuck with it. It is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel when it seems to come off so slowly. But keep going it all adds up. We are here for you.

Wow! You're doing great! Over five pounds in three weeks! I just joined WW in May too. My first week I actually gained a teeny bit.
