So after a long week of early mornings, I have successfully completed the first week of my diet. Because I spent the first part of the week burning off excess carbs stored in my muscles, the visible results did not begin until the middle of the week. But I am happy to report that, even after stuffing myself today during my carb load, my stomach is more visible while my veins are slowly starting to pop.
The good: My workouts. After two days of my new run/walk routine, I am really actually really enjoying cardio. Aside from the thought of burning excess fat, I think this has to do with the interval work which allow for constant changes. By the time I catch my breath, I am only around 30 seconds away from a quick sprint.
I stuck to the numbers this week by walking/sprinting for 40 minutes. I plan to add 5 minutes of additional work this week to progress my weightloss.
The bad: My diet, as mentioned, has continued to be a thorn in my side. While I have no problem sticking to the numbers when I am home, eating out with clients is kicking my rear. Still, I do notice improved defitinion and results in the mirror and I am confident I will be down a pound or two on Monday (my weigh in)
For what it is worth, I also wanted to mention I keep a weekly newsletter column on diet and fitness related issues for my client. I will post this column in my blog each week for whoever is interested.
In the meantime, feel free to check out my diet log:http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJournals.html?Owner=furious420
