Feeling a little more optimistic

I tried really hard to stay on plan all week. I lost .8 on Friday's weigh in....I was happy to have a loss. This is embarrassing to say but I'm at the same weight at week 15 as I was at week 4 or 5. Sigh--oh well...keep trying!

This past week was a lot of eating out with birthday celebrations, etc. It continues some next week. I've been trying to plan ahead. For instance, one lunch was at an Italian place. I love pasta! I decided ahead of time to order fish (even though it cost more) and ask for a side of salad instead of the pasta they give you. I ordered water-which is finally becoming a habit. The fish arrived very spicey with lots of pepper. It wasn't as good as I've had it there in the past. Fortunately & unfortunately the waitress brought me some lemon butter sauce to put on it. My boss says to me "I only heard the word lemon ha!!" I tried to just dip the fish in it but I still ate quite a bit of the sauce. I'm not perfect, but overall I'm making better choices.

Today I bought some of my FAVORITE chocolate drop cookies. I bought six and told myself that if I really want one I can have one a day-that's it. It worked great today! Kllled the sweet tooth & didn't indulge in eating the whole bag. I stopped at a roadside stand with lots of veggies for sale. I got 8 zucchini and 10 squash for $2.00! They are yummy!

One day at a time. How's everyone else doing?
