Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

I just knew I was going to see a loss on the scale this morning and I was so excited that I woke up early to weigh myself: I was down 2 lbs! I just have a pound to go before I hit my goal weight tomorrow. Which may not be possible, but I'd be okay with that. I've worked so hard since I've started back up that I'm just proud of what I have accomplished. If my friends have a scale, I'll have to post whether or not I see a loss again tomorrow.

My DH and I are leaving tonight to go to St. Louis this weekend. We're staying at a couple friend's house and I'm really excited for the surprise birthday adventures on Saturday. My only worry is staying OP when I don't really have control of where we eat or what goes into preparing the home-cooked stuff. So, I'm just going to have to have a lot of self-control and willpower to say no to the donuts and yes to the oatmeal. REMINDER TO MYSELF: You feel great right now; you won't feel so great if you go crazy this weekend. Remember your goals and why you're doing this.

Yesterday, I exercised using the Crunch DVD, and yet again it looks like it might storm today. I miss the pool! I also picked up my li'l sis and took her to Bonkers, which has an indoor playground type area where I was able to climb up and around with her. The only problem is, I'm so terribly frightened by heights that I nearly had a panic attack when part of the play area had me crawling over some netting with nothing below me but concrete (and we were up REALLY high). Part of my fear was that I might be too heavy for the material to hold me. I really never want to worry about that again.

I also took her to McD's to get some dinner before we went to the playground. I had checked the nutritional stats for what I wanted to eat, and I had budgeted points for it, so all in all, my dinner was pretty decent (7pts). The DH and I even went to get an ice cream cone after dropping my li'l sis off. I did so well on the eating front yesterday that, even had I not counted my APs, I still would have 1 pt left over for the day.

Before I post my food log from yesterday, here's my plan for today: exercise DVD for 30-45 minutes, Carnation Instant Breakfast and watermelon for breakfast, english muffin pizza and a kiwi for lunch, roasted chicken breast and crash hot potatoes (apparently an Australian concoction)for dinner.

Here's my food log. I've found that by having a few snacks every few hours between meals, I eat less at meal time and I feel satisfied all day. So much so that I don't feel the need to eat all my points. Hmmm.... Points Goal (not counting my 5 AP's): 28

Food Units
cereal 4
1 c. watermelon .5
english muffin pizza 5
watermelon ice 1.5
apple dumplings 6
Diet Coke 0
McD's cheeseburger-plain 7
McD's vanilla ice cream cone 3
Total: 27

Congrats on the 2 lbs!! That is such an accomplishment! I love going to St. Louis, and you're right, the food choices will be crazy. Let yourself enjoy and just eat smaller portions, and drink tons of water! Have fun!

I think I'd have a panic attack too! That looks like fun, but I'm terrified of heights...speaking of material holding, I was shopping for beach chairs and I noticed the weight limit on most of them are 250 lbs. Now I don't have to worry about being over that weight this summer! Good luck on reaching Onederland, you are sooooo close! Hopefully, I'm right beind you fairly soon.
