SaucyWench

We Have A Dress and Other Saucy Happenings!

Yes, it's true!!

We went to try on some things to get ideas and we found the perfect wedding gown! It is so totally not what I ever expected I would choose, but it SO WORKS! It's fitted through the waist and laces up the back so that the back fat issue can be worked with. It's got alot of sparklies with NO meringue!

And to top it all off, it was ON SALE! Yep, I paid only $390 for my wedding gown!

I'm so excited!!

*insert happy snoopy dance here*

In other news, I went to the doctor on Friday and talked to him at length about my weight issues, etc. Basically, I feel like I've been working my ass off and getting nowhere when it comes to the weight. He was very proud that I've kept the weight off. He and I talked about food issues and the fact that cooked veggies are making me totally gag right now. His suggestion was that I try eating fruit in the morning and worry about the vegetables for snacks and the rest of my meals. He suggested non-fat plain yogurt or cottage cheese with frozen fruit or even a smoothie. He also said to just keep up the exercise and eventually it will happen.

I also need to talk to my trainer about alot more upper body working out since my wedding is now less than 10 weeks away! Eeek!

Congratulations on such a great deal on your dress! Can't wait to see some pics. :)
I can't stand cooked veggies either. I always have to eat mine raw.

Congrats on the dress! It sounds beautiful :) Good for you for talking with your Doc about weight issues, I am glad you ruled out other issues. If you are using WW, have you tried the wendie plan? That is a good tool for getting out of a plateau. If you google it, there is a plan on line you can print out. :) I am not a huge fan of cooked veggies, either. Have you ever tried blanching them? That can bring out alot of flavor and not make them soggy. Or, grilling? I like to grill zucchini and squash with grilled yam slices. The grilling brings out the natural sugars in the veggies and they taste very different. Salads are always good, one good way to eat more salad stuff is to chop up romaine and put some black beans and corn with salsa on top, and some cheese if you can. I love to eat that just like a salad, it doesn't really need any dressing with the stuff on top! :) Have a great day! :)

I'm a raw veggie girl except for corn on the cob or baked potatoes.

How excting to have found THE dress. Now you have a visual of yourself when you daydream about that special day. Those 10 weeks will go fast. Can't wait to see pictures of that special day.
