Yippeee! I did it!

I lost weight on vacation and I hit the 50 pound milestone--even went past it! I lost 3.4 pounds over the last 2 weeks, including my vacation week, putting my total at 51.2 pounds lost!!! This also means I met my second 10% goal. Maybe I will reach Onederland by Labor Day afterall...I'm going to keep trying, that's for sure!

I had already decided my reward would be new eye shadow, so my sister and I headed over to Sephora after WW. They had the eyeshadow kit I wanted, but I didn't find it until after a saleswoman had helped me find different shades that I ended up liking even better. I also got a new long-lasting lip color that actually isn't cakey-dry and the bare essentails mineral veil, which I'm almost out of. It was fun to play with the make up and pamper myself with something--actually a few things--new. ;)

It's strange, but I'm not as excited about the 50 milestone as I was about the 25. I'm happy and all, but I was literally bouncing off the walls when I hit 25, which I hit at the same time as my 10% goal. Maybe because it's become more of a lifestyle now than it was for me back then. After almost 15 months, counting points and exercising is just what I do. It has be come habit rather than a struggle, which is good. I guess I feel like I'm just going to keep on trucking for another 50 and beyond. If I keep doing what I'm doing, I'll get there. Never as quickly as I'd like, but I'll get there...

50 is more like a milemarker sign than a destination. I'm already looking off in the distance toward my new goals: my half-way to goal mark is 61 pounds gone or 9.8 pounds away, Onederland is only 11 pounds away, then my third 10% is shortly thereafter 18.8 pounds away and so on and so forth...all the way to the skinny me.

Time to move the turtle tracker forward :)

Congratulations on the milestone! You may not be as excited about it, but I'm excited for you. (I've got 7.2 pounds to go to get to a 50-pound loss, and 2.9 pounds to One-derland).

How long did it take for you to get to the whole "it's a lifestyle" stage? I still struggle with staying OP consistently.

You go! That's so awesome! I'm glad you went and treated yourself to something nice. You're right--after a while the things we do become a habit and it's just not as exciting any more, but I say you've done an amazing job.

Super Job girl! 50 lbs is such a GREAT accomplishment! You should be SO proud of yourself! And I'm glad to hear you went out to "treat" yourself. A Bare Minerals fan, are you? Me too! I switched to it about 4 years ago and will probably NEVER change! I love their stuff! The bad part is...my daughter is hooked too...so with her still at home and only 16, I ended out forking out $$$ for her makeup too! Yikes!

I love Bare Minerals and could never switch back to liquid foundation. Even though it's a little more pricey than the grocery store varieties of make-up, I think it lasts longer and covers better, so you use less too. New colors make for a great reward too. It's only $12 for each new color of eyeshadow, so it's less expensive than a pedicure (plus I can do my own pedicure at home now that I can reach my feet much better than I could 50 pounds ago!) Maybe I'll get another new color for meeting my half-way mark of 61 pounds gone.

That's AMAZING!!! Congrats...you've been working so hard!!! I'm also a BE fanatic. I've been using it for about 5 years now and would never go back to liquid either!!!
