How do you track your points/calorie intake?

I have been using something online but am getting frustrated at how complex it can be. How do you track your intake? I would love to hear more options!

I usually use sparkpeople.com to track my caloric intake. When I was being "strict" on WW I tracked with the paper journal . I've seen some people use a spreadsheet.

I track using the WW Quick Track booklet. I get a new one each week at weigh-in. I've thought about buying a 3-month journal, but haven't done it yet.

When I was doing Atkins, I started out using the Atkins journal (I think it was a 3-month thing, too) and then bought a purse-sized, fat little notebook to jot everything down in.)

For a while, I was doing it online with the Self Diet Club Web site, but that got to be a big pain.

I am a WW online subscriber to track all my points with the online point tracker.

I've always just used paper and pencil, even when I was just tracking my calories instead of points. The tool online at weight watchers is useful-if you live in front of the computer screen and have at least 15 minutes to track a day. For me, this method works, cause I just track it all at work, but if you don't have easy access to a computer, it can be not so useful.
What really worked well for me was tracking the day on a little piece or pad of paper, and then writing my grand total for the day, whether it was points or calories, whether it was good or bad, on a monthly calender. This kept me honest, and made sure I didn't forget how I was doing from week to week.

I have a spreadsheet that I use and also a dry erase board on my fridge.

I use a spreadsheet that I found on the internet...it calculates everything for you and is pretty easy to use. I think I attached it to this post...let me know if you can't access it. Weight Watchers.xls

this is a read only document...do you have a password or something that allows you to type the information cause this looks VERY helpful

It might be that you have your security set too high in excel. It should open up and ask you to Enable Macros, which you can make changes to it. I'm not very computer savvy, but you should be able to go to Tools, Macro, Security, and set it Medium. Let me know if that doesn't work.

I am also having the same problem...asks for a password. I saved it to my computer and adjusted my macros. Any other thoughts? Thanks!

nevermind, figured it out :) Thanks for passing it on!

If you save it to your computer...it's not a read only file....hope this helps! :)

This is a wonderful tool since I don't actually pay for a WW subscription online or go to meetings. I've just been using Roni's calculator on the weightwatchen site. Thank you so much for this because when I have gone off plan it's mostly because meal planning, tracking points, etc has become overwhelming.
