Why is it so hard to be so good?
This week has been tough for me. Not only have I been "on program," but I've done a lot of good things. I quit Diet Coke. Cold turkey, baby. It's been one week today, and while I miss a cold beverage for dinner that's not water, I'm doing surprisingly well. I've had a fishy week.....took advantage of the recent sale on Dover sole, and I had fish for dinner for 3 out of 4 nights. And I bought loads of veggies, which I've been steaming and eating with my fish. To…

In 2005, when I first started Weight Watchers, I came across a photo that my husband (then fiance) took of us on a trip across the country. The photo made me cry, because it looked NOTHING like the image I had of myself in my head. There was a fat girl in that photograph, hanging on to my husband. Ordinarily this is fine, but I had no idea what kind of bread I had or what was on my sandwich...and the dressing. OH! I loved the salad dressing. Not such a good thing. Then I headed up to a meeting for dinner, and had to eat out. Ordered the Alaskan Halibut with sea…

What a neat looking format over here! I've rebuilt this blog three times now, but I'll happily do it again. This is a great way to motivate to shed the lbs, and I'm thankful to have the support group.
So, I suppose I should just pick up where I left off, which was.....day 3 of being back on program after a very long hiatus. I was five lbs over goal at some point last week, but I've been too afraid to step on the scale and see the damage these past few days. Yesterday and Friday went well, and I…
