About Me:
I am a 34 yo mother of three (8, 10 and 13 yrs) and have been married to my high school sweetheart for 15 years. I never battled weight until after having my babies. In fact I'm one of those 'ate anything she wanted and never gained' type of people. I lost 40 lbs on WW 5 yrs ago and kept it off until I started working nights and eating to stay awake!! I started WW AGAIN at the same weight (178) I was when I started WW 5 yrs ago and want to just smack myself for letting it creep up on me!

I am a Registered Nurse and love my job helping moms bring their babies into the world but man I HATE all those nights ordering takeout! Evil, evil fast food!

well i should have...

known or anticipated, but I didn't. I ignored the internal promptings of the my inner eater saying "watch out for thanksgiving" but I refused to listen to her and will be forced to now pay the price. Goal!

Well it's official. As of November 15, 2008 I have made goal weight. 138 pounds. I started WW on June 29. 20 weeks ago, 40 pounds lost. These last few have been a bit of a struggle. I've ben having tough times at home and stress at work. I quit blogging and even quit keeping my strict food journal (keeping a mental note of what I ate but not writing it down). LA weight gain

Well I've returned from the LA trip unscathed. I had a tough time getting a hold of the foods I needed to be eating. I had to resort to McDonalds for breakfast because there was literally no other place to eat near the class I was taking. I had a nice dinner out with a good friend of Friday night after he gave me a beautiful hair cut and color. WI and wowzers!

Today is WI for me. 141.8 pounds. I wasn't great with my water yesterday. When I don't feel like I'm floating in a sea of water, I know I haven't had enough. I was tired from working and spent a lot of the day laying around and trying to get things done here. Feeling kind of in a cloud. Jillian! GEEZ!

Well yesterday I responded to another bloggers post about Jillian Michael's 20 minute shred DVD. I picked this little gem of a video up a few weeks ago when I first was broken. CONGRATS on an unbelievable week! I am so happy for you. Just look at it as one of those weeks where you didnt lose what you had hoped for ...got corrected.

btw...thanks for the comment and YES if I stopped being the dad and sat around you wouldnt not be able to see the floor and the kids would not be able to eat and a whole lot more would fall by the wayside lol

Oh Joni I cannot thank you enough for all that you wrote on my page regarding my rant this morning. I was just so confused and...so hungry. So I am going to read what you wrote a few times, digest it and try it. I think you are right in that I need to trick my body. My body is used to eating the same things, at the same time and for the exercise that I give it because it is usually that same...the bike, then I run, then the bike...you get the picture. Anyway, I am going to try some weights and some abs this week. I was thinking about it anyway. I have pigged out today...just because I was really frustrated. Hence my relationship with food...ugh. :) Anyway, thank you so much for taking the time to share with me your dealings with this and your thoughts and advice. I could never thank you enough. I am so sorry that your leg is still broken. I wish I could say more to help your situation because you have helped me so much...thank you...

I think your job must be soooo awesome! Actually, one major reason I want to lose weight (besides for my own health) is b/c I am a Birth Doula and Childbirth Educator (Lamaze) and I feel like I can't authentically TEACH my clients to embrace healthy lifestyles if I am obviously not at my healthiest weight. It is a challenge to stay on plan when at a birth at 2 am and desperately trying to stay perky and alert, LOL. Any tips for that? I usually pack fruit, nuts, etc. but last time I had a client whose daughter was peanut allergic and now I am wondering if I should re evaluate what I am packing as snacks when I am at births.

Ah okay...my sister moved to Manteca...in the bay area a few years ago. I really like it there and get to visit here and there. Sure is nice to be there during Canada winters. Thanks for you comments....I appreciate them!
