Open-minded, I Am

Hm, the title reminds me of Yoda! Here goes in further "affirming" myself so that I can stay on plan. I am a very open-minded woman. Of course, I have opinions and stances from which I will not budge. However, for the most part, I am understanding and supportive of those around me who choose their own paths in life. I believe that each individual has to decide what is best for their own life, and work from there. I am not one to presume I know more than others about their particular situations… Continue

Confidence Builder

I grew up as an overweight girl, and I don't think I have ever gotten over it. I am self conscious about many things and feel like I need more confidence. Right now, I am larger than I'd like to be, but I am not as huge in reality as I perceive myself as being. Therefore, my blog will be turning into a confidence builder for me. I am going to spend my entries not talking about the foods I eat or points I ate for the day. Instead, I will write to inspire myself. I will write about good parts of m… Continue

TV

I was reading the Weight Watchen page about "too much TV" and I totally get it. I love my DVR for that very reason. It takes out the waste of commercials. However, I think I still watch too much TV and have even considered getting rid of the TV all together. What do you guys think? Tomorrow, I am taking my son to a Mommy&Me meeting at WW tomorrow. It is the first "real" meeting I've been to since 2005. I am very excited. I joined WW a couple of weeks ago, but didn't go to a meeting. I just… Continue

Toddler's Dr. Appointment Today

I got back from vacation on Saturday and am just now starting to really get back to "normal". I did an excellent job both today and yesterday of keeping to my 25 point limit. I am very proud of myself! I hope to lose 30 pounds and be at 160 before I get pregnant with another child. It would be nice not to have so much weight to carry around during those long 9 months! I took my son to the doctor today for his 15 month appointment. He got his shots and is sleeping now. Hopefully, he will get ple… Continue

First Official Weight Watchers Day

I have re-joined Weight Watchers as of yesterday. I got the monthly pass. It is always so hard around 2:30 until 4:30 to eat sensibly. I would love to make a large batch of something that is just horrible for me and eat it. Today, I did not do that. I cut up strawberries and had those instead. I have a major sweet tooth lately, which is why it is hard to lose weight. It does not seem to help to eat several small meals a day, even. I still want that enormous sugar rush in the afternoon. I am go… Continue

Hello Jenna,
I thought I would stop by just to introduce myself. I am a work at home mom (WAHM) and I read your profile and I can understand just what you mean. I am committed to writing in my blog 3 to 4 times a week even if I mess up....I was on weight watchers and loss 8 lbs. but gained it back. I am now doing portions control and conscious eating w/ treadmill. How are you doing?
