I am a 27 year old art teacher who has been battling weight loss for 10 years...and losing (not in the good way). Check out my story in my very long first blog post! Hopefully this site will help me regain the motivation I once had. I look forward to being inspired by the members here!

What I have been thinking about today...

I've been thinking a lot about weight loss this weekend. Now that I am two weeks into teaching, I know I can handle teaching and losing weight. This week will be my first week to have all the grades doing a different lesson, so we'll see how that goes. It'll be a little stressful, but I just finished my lesson plans for the next 5 weeks (I see each student once per week). What I Learned Today and Week 8: Week in Review

First things first--a loss!! This is my third week in a row I have lost 2.5 lbs. How about that for consistency? I'll do a week-in review at the end of the post, but first--some insight. A Fiber-licious Day!

Holy cow... I managed to get 36 grams of fiber today. This is how I did it: 2 fiber one apple cinnamon muffins -- 10g (5g each) 2 whole wheat hot dog buns -- 6g (3g each) 4 meatballs (made with oatmeal instead of bread crumbs) -- 3g odwalla berries gomega smoothie -- 6g 1 can amy's cream of tomato soup -- 6g 1 whole wheat english muffin -- 4g 1 tomato -- 1g Yee-haw. Girl's Night

So, last night I had a total girls night... well two in a row! First, I went to one of my favorite places--the Wine Therapist (best name ever). You go, buy a bottle of wine and split it, sit ona comfy leather couch, and chat away. I always end up crying there for some reason. LOL. No tears last night. I drank 1/3 of a bottle wine. Then we went next door to an Irish pub. For the three of us, we split a burger and fries, some fried jalapenos, and this cheesy dip with baguettes. Okay, not the best… Continue

Partying like it's 1999.

Hey guys, nothing big to report really. I still have the serious munchies--wish they would go away. I've been eating all night, but trying to eat low-cal things--corn on the cob, tomato, turkey, string cheese, etc. Sometimes I hate being a woman...
