About Me:
Hi,

I am 31 years old, married to a wonderful husband and have a 2 year old son. I am currently taking a year off work to fulfill a long-term goal of mine. I work in the environmental field and for the past 8 years, I wanted to do a Masters degree in Environmental Science. This seemed an impossible goal as time went on. But an opportunity presented itself, my work agreed to pay for this degree and I threw myself at it. Being is school is great, it gives me a lot of flexibility that my job would not allow (i.e time with my toddler). But it presents another challenge, I am procrastinator and this leads to stress which leads to stuffing my face with anything I can find.

My weight problem began as a child, followed me through high school and into university. It really didn’t get to be an issue until was working. I always thought I was fat but really, I would love to be 140 (as I was in grade 9) or 150-170 (as I was in high school and university). I have lost weight in the past: 20 pounds on my own my watching portions sizes in university and I miraculously found myself 20 pounds lighter after having my son. Those 20 pounds have returned and I do not want to add any more to them.

I have recently come to the realization that I am my own key to my happiness. I have been successful in other areas in my life, so I can be successful at weight management. I deserve it!

I can still do a food log. Amazing. Breakfast (9): 1/2 C oatmeal, 1 tbsp raisons, 6 almonds, 1/2 C milk, mocha, banana Snack (3): nectarine, yogurt Lunch (11): BLT on a bagel Snack(3): 5 gummy worms Dinner (9): pork, 1/2 C rice, 1/2 C mixed veggies, pineapple and orange slices Snack (3): Chocolate milk Total: 38

Where has the time gone?

I've just returned from a weeks vacation. No computer, no worries about working on my thesis. It was a great break that I think I really needed. Tomorrow I will hop on the scale and see were I am at. Time to get serious about this lifestyle changes again (as if I haven't said this in the last posts... but I mean it this time!!!!)

A new month, another restart

I just really wasn't into exercising and journaling in may. I know that these to things together are a big key to my success so far. I maintained, just backed off the weight loss for a while. I have regained my focus for the month and will start tracking my progress towards this months goals. 1. 20 minutes of cardio, 5 days a week. 2. 10 minutes of strenght training, 4 days a week. 3. Just checking the new blog out

I've lost my way this past week. I need to get back to my exercise and positive thinking. School is really bring me down =P. Only two more semesters to go, I am almost there. I"ve put off working on my paper and now it is time to get it done so I can get on with the things I enjoy. I will go out for a walk today and start tracking my points again tomorrow.

Kristina, thanks for the invite! I have been too busy this week to really explore the new format. I'm excited to have some time (maybe this weekend) to update the page and play around. I'm staying on plan though, and have gotten some exercise in each day and that's helping the stress level a lot! I love your page so far!
