Planning ahead works- who would have thunk!

I am a planner in many ways. And I have actually found that planning my food and points for the day is something I do habitually now. I also will often pick a few recipes at a time, plan my shopping list accordingly and make and freeze meals every other week or so. This works quite well- it is just the husband and I in the house and we have a pretty informal schedule when it comes to eating. And he is supportive of me kind of doing my own thing and in addition he likes the things I cook. So it w… Continue

What are your favorite low point foods?

There are certain foods in my life that I am finding are my "can't live without" items. They are not only low points, but also satisfying (a brilliant combination). I thought I would share, and I'd love to hear from others what items are your go-to items that are helping you in your food choices right now. I could use some more ideas to mix things up. Some of my favorite things these days Zero Point Veggie Soup… Continue

Here's to not giving up....

I actually lost a pound this week. yipee!!! I am seeing a number on the scale that I haven't seen very often. Thanks Bloggers for the great advice last week on helping to break this plateau. In April, following a miscarriage I found myself back at one of my higher weights. Definitely an unhappy weight. But I recommitted and other than a spell during the summer when I was traveling, I have stuck with it. At times I… Continue

A WW Tool for Living- Anchoring to overcome emotional eating

In all my years of WW, I never gave much credence to the Tools for Living. Sure I read about them, and I think they make sense, but I never integrated them into my life. So I have been using another Tool, Motivating Strategy, and I find it very grounding so I thought I would try another one. My WW leader said that "Anchoring" is about remapping the brain. For example, when we hear a song or smell a certain smell and o… Continue

Any ideas for breaking the plateau?

I need to change things up this week. Something has to be rearranged in order to break this plateau. I am just not sure WHAT to change? Anyone had any success in breaking through a plateau? I am open to any and all ideas. THIS PLATEAU WILL NOT BEAT ME.. Here are some of the things I am routinely doing: Exercise: I am working out (biking, basketball, step class, elipitcal machine) 4-5 times a week. I know my body is transforming even if I am not loosing weight, but that's not enough. I still wan… Continue

Yay! I'm glad that you figured out that problem :O))) I know sometimes it's hard to believe that you actually need to eat more food to lose but sometimes you just do! Good luck this week!

Hey there - Just wanted to follow up on a few quick tips...I spoke to a WW member yesterday who is a marathon runner. I told her I am craving something sweet in the late afternoon and evening - then in the evening I am just plain hungry. She suggested an apple, grapes, something sweet but naturally sweet after a workout. So I am going to pack an apple in my gym bag to eat right when I am done. I also picked up some protein powder. I am going to have a protein drink in the morning, right after working out and maybe before bed...I think it will help. I just had one this morning and I feel full. I don't usually feel full after my oatmeal in the mornings...I just feel that constant empty feeling. So those are the tips that I picked up from the runners and exercisers in my group yesterday. Oh and one more thing - the marathoner indicated that she switched over to core for her training because she needed more protein. So that is an option. I can't do it right now because I just don't trust myself. I am an over eater so no matter what it is, I eat too much. I am going to try the shakes, the fruit and see where it takes me this week. I will keep you posted! I hope some of this helps you too! Have a great week...

Hey!
Thanks for your comment. I am in the same boat as you. Perhaps I should switch over to CORE. I was thinking of that. I think that Flex just does not give me enough bulk. The only thing is that I tried CORE before and I over ate. That is the only thing I fear with switching to CORE. Perhaps I will try it...keep checking in and see if I get any comments. I know before people have suggested more protein but with flex, I get quite a bit...or so I think and can't really spare any further points for protein...perhaps the protein shakes might help....I will keep you posted. At least we are not alone!!!!

Is that good for your weight to come off 1 ounce at a time? Because that is how i have been doing until i lose that 1lb lol.

Hey there - I know how it is to lose weight so slowly. I guess we will appreciate it more in the end and learn more along the way.
That is what I keep telling myself anyway!
I find capping the AP really help. No more than four. If for some reason I am so hungry that I can't help myself then I just use my extra weekly points.

I love your name! Cute. Thanks for the support. I am so close I can taste it and have been there once before and gained it back slowly. I hate losing ounces too, makes you feel like you will never get there. Sounds like you had a great loss yesterday and not much to go to hi 170s, keep it up and goodluck!
