Starting Weight: 233.8 lbs
Week 2: 231.2 lbs
Week 3: 228.8 lbs
Week 4: 227 lbs


First Mini Goal: Drop 8-10 lbs by end of September, so I can fit into my suit. I will need to wear it then, and I can's afford to buy a new one.

2 Weeks later

It's the two week marker, and everything's going good so far. I've been going to the gym three times a week, and playing in a soccer league once a week. I've followed the weight watchers points, but I made sure not to diet this time. I'm looking for things I like, nutrition, and balance, so I get maximum results without feeling deprived. Weekend

The weekend is here (almost) and so far so good. I've stayed within my points for five days so far, went to the gym (only once, need to do more) and tried to make good choices with my points too. Now comes the real test, the weekend. I'll let you know how it goes...

Good day

Today was a rough day at the start, but it ended up being a good day. I'm too exhausted to go through all the details, but basically, my Mom is out of the hospital, the kids did well on their first day back in school, and I was good with my food and even got 10-thousand steps along the way today. Now, it's time to rest. Tomorrow, I hit the gym!

Day one

So the first day is almost done. For those of you who read my earlier blog, my Mom remains hospitalized, so we're monitoring the situation and we'll see how that goes. As for me, I managed not to turn to food to cope with my feelings and anxieties about the day, so I think that was my achievement for the day. Tomorrow, the kids start school!

Like an earthquake on a scale, this is the mangitude of my problem, and my starting point for my journey to weight loss and health. I just weighed in, set my first mini-goal of 224lbs by the end of the month, and I just went through all my food for the day, so I know what I will eat and when.
