About Me:
I am a 30 year old Stay at Home Mom. I have 2 beautiful children, a girl (3) and a boy (17 mo). I have never had a great self body image. For as long as I can remember I have been "overweight". Looking back at pictures, I couldn't have been more wrong. I think I looked and felt best when I was in college, diving for three hours every day...I am not an exercise person, unless it is fun and involves socializing, and lets face it with two kids and one income, those situations are not easy to come by...anyway, back then I weighed 145lbs and was totally Hot (not that I would hav admitted it back then). Nearly ten years later I am 167 lbs and am hoping to get back to around 145 soon. I have been doing WW on my own since January, not religiously like I should at first, but I'm getting better about it, and have lost almost 19lbs. My first goal was to lose 18.6 lbs (10%) by my birthday 6/20...I did it! My next big goal is the next 10%, 16.7lbs..I know I can do it, I just need a push...so here I am...I want to push and be pushed.

no change

so I didn't have any change (again) this week...even though I've been working out three times a week...for two weeks (40-45 min each day)...it's b/c I haven't been logging my points in my spreadsheet (my internet was down for a week) Went to the Patriots opening game today (HOLY COW it was fun) and had Way TOO MUCH food... miracle

I was finishing up my coffee this morning (decaf, always) and I had to go to the bathroom (sorry TMI) then I realized that I hadn't gone #2 in a couple of days... so afterwards I re-weighed...and wouldn't you know it...there went the near pound and a half that I thought I gained... I was at a wash for the week (165.2)... I don't wanna do it!

I got my monthly visitor this week (i forgot it was coming) a day early, and have been SOOOOoooo hungry (this happens a lot around this time). I haven't had the headaches I had last month, but I've been ravenous (sp?) so last night (the night before weigh in) I ate chinese food (beef teriyaki, s&s chicken, lo-mein, Baaaaddd stuff) so I KNOW i'm retaining alll kinds of water this morning (the salt in that stuff is CRAZY)... I feel gross

Dh and I ordered out lastnight and I feel it today... we got a stuffed eggplant thing ( I didn't eat the pasta, but it was still like 600+ calories, and 35+g of fat) then I had tons of snacks ice cream (ben and jerry's creme brule) low fat brownies, and a granola bar... I used all my flex points...and I feel disgusting today...I just want to flush my system of all the grossness... I ate yogurt for breakfast and feel sick to my stomach... Weigh In

I was up .6 from pre-vacation...not terrible, but still not as good as i had hoped... I had been weighing in all week and had been 164.6 since Wed...then this morning I was 165.2...grrr... I hate that... I thought for sure I had lost the two vacation lbs (granted i lost 1.4 of it, so that's a positive thing) but I can't seem to stop focusing on the fact that I'm "up" again...not happy... oh well...I'll use it as motivation. Hope everyone else's WI goes well today.

I normally eat more breakfast, but for the first few weeks of school, I am too nervous to make myself eat anything.

Hi Dawn! Thanks for the comment. I don't think it really matters if it's 20 lbs or 200 lbs. Everyone has a certain threshold in which they just feel like they can't take it anymore. Good luck on your journey...you are doing wonderful!!

Green Bean Casserole (I’m sure this is the recipe everyone uses.)

2 cans French style green beans

1/2 c. fat free sour cream

1 can reduced fat cream of mushroom

1/2 c. skim milk

Topping- a little reduced fat cheese and some fried onion crispies

Mix all ingredients. Sprinkle with topping ingredients to suit your taste. Bake at 350 until crispy on top. (about 30 minutes)

Since my husband doesn't like this, I made a smaller recipe for this week using 1 can green beans, 2 tbs. sour cream, half a can of cream of mushroom, a splash of milk, 2 tbs. onion crispies, 1/4 c. fat free shredded cheese. I'm not sure how long I cooked it, but just until the cheese was melted. It's 4 points for the whole thing or 2 for half.

I would say go ahead and WI anyway...if you have a gain/no loss, you can blame it on PMS, and the next week you can have a great number :) My latest trick is to eat lots and lots of healthy stuff, drink tons of water, and the day passes fast :) Guess that's not so hard when I write it out like that. LOL. ;-)

Hi there!! Things have been so busy lately that I must admit I haven't been the best blogger, thanks for the reminder :) Edward is doing awesome, his surgery went well, but the downside is he has this type of cyst that has to be monitered every 6 months because it has sometimes a series of reacurrence :( But his oral surgeon is great and we have to do what we have to do. Weight wise I am down from 177.6 to 172, so I am trucking along. How are things in your neck of the woods?

feedreader is a free application you can download. then just add the feed url for the blog page (found by pressing the orange button on the top right corner of your browser...see thats what it's for) and presto, everytime that person adds a post it comes up in your feedreader and you alerts you.
I have over 100 blogs in mine...I'm a huge time waster blog reader.

Cool drink...you know soft drink, fizzy stuff. I thought that’s what everyone called it. Over the internet it's easy sometimes to forget that you're chatting to people from all over the world.

Haha! Thanks for the encouragement! My daughter's second birthday was yesterday and the inlaws and my parents and brother were here...craziness! I let stress get to me sometimes! But the good news is I made myself get up and walk/jog 3 mornings last week! I am going to post my weekly weigh In this week and try to stick with it! how are you doing? did you have a good 4th and survive the holiday food!!?

Hey! Glad you are back OP for the week. Sounds like a great idea to give yourself some extra time to get the tiny gain off, whatever you need to stay positive is a great idea. To answer your question, do my kids eat less at meals because of snacking with me...yes they do. The thing I keep in mind is, they are growing normally and aren't too thin, and they never wake up at night hungry so it can't hurt if they don't eat much at dinner. I also notice with the heat that they tend to eat less also. Have a great 4th!
