Believe me.. I've NEVER been a runner either! AND...I have a lot more weight to lose, so I was afraid that I'd quit after I started as well. The program starts out pretty easy and you slowly work your way up. I found that the first 3-4 weeks were not bad at all! Week 5 is a little intimidating to me....but as you can see...I'm still at it! Much to my very own amazement! I guess I am still in shock that I am actually doing it! Today my week 5 training said to run 8 minutes...walk 5...and I actually pushed myself a little bit and ran a full 10 minutes! I still cringe when I think about running 20 minutes straight though. But the way I look at it is...even if I have to stay at this point for a month or longer, at least I am still running! And they say that interval training really boosts your metabolism and burns more calories! So I guess I'll just see about that! Keep me posted if you start C25k! I'm sure you'd do great! And good luck for maintaining over the holidays!
I am doing so well! I am so happy with the CORE program and feel so much freedom with it! I am still journalling even though they say you don't have to. Just in case I don't lose weight in the next few weeks, I want to be able to show my WW leader and see if she has any thoughts. It is so nice not to be hungry all the time. I am making sure that I am eating within the recommended portion sizes (as per flex) and just hope that helps. I just love that there is no pressure to spread my points over a day and end up miserable after dinner because I am out of points and was hungry all day. I just feel scared because it is not as controlled as Flex is. But I am sticking with it. I will give it two weeks because someone told me when they switched programs they didn't lose the first week but lost the second week and from there on. So I will give it time...and a very solid try!
Thanks again for checking in. I am doing very well and just felt on Saturday like I was going no where and that I was trapped. I don't feel that desperation any longer. Your support means so much! Take care...:)
I am so excited with the article! Thank you for thinking of me and taking the time forward it. I really do appreciate it! :)
