About Me:
I am a devoted low carber who has lost 61 pounds ! I finally lost the last of the weight and reached my goal of 145! Low carb has been the only plan that has helped me control my binge eating, as well as encouraged me to exercise. I have found blogging a successful forum for weight loss in the past. I used to be on the weight watchen community (Goal: My Size 8 Jeans).

In CA and not doing so hot...

So I made it to CA this morning, and everyone has been super complimentary of my efforts in the last 6 weeks (I was home 6 weeks ago). However, I have let success go to my head and eaten like total crap!!! Hitting Goal does not entitle one to eat like CRAZY!!!

Since I have hit my goal weight, I have allowed 1001 splurges. Not sure why--I don't know if it is in celebration, or rebellion, or laziness, or maybe the former reaction I had to stress. I am not sure. But I am sure my stomach is bloated and I feel yucky. Don't get me wrong, I haven't gone back to my former self. Bought some new clothes

Trying on clothes was pretty exciting today. I tried on 5/6's in juniors and 6's in misses. I felt like my options were expanded. I tried on things I never would have: spandex tanks, pencil skirts, different styles in jeans...not that I bought all of these, but it was so liberating only excluding items I didn't like. I JUST HIT MY GOAL WEIGHT!!!!!!!!

OMG!!!! I can not believe it. A year struggling to lose the last 15 pounds! I haven't weighed myself in quite a while, and weighed before my shower. The scale showed 145!!!! That is a total of 61 pounds! I should have taken a picture, but I am afraid to get back on because it might go away. I can't believe it! This is completely surreal! Holy Moly...... I am am going to go calm down, and write more later! SKINNY VIBES EVERYWHERE!!!!!

Reducing Calories

Those of you that may have read my blog have seen how much I struggle with reducing my food intake. I mean, why should I have to, when I have lost 50 pounds just moderating my carbohydrates? Well, I have certainly realized how important calories are. The simple fact of the matter is my newer, smaller body doesn't need that much to operate, let alone lose more weight. Not that great...I'm up about 4 lbs...so now I'm back in "loss mode" to try and get it back down. I have to say that maintaining is a lot harder than I expected!

Hi, thanks for the comment! Actually, I'm not convinced that the routine of school helps. I tend to do better when I am on my own schedule. Maybe after a month or two, I'll have a different answer! :)

Thanks for the encouragement on running the 5K. I would have never dreamed I could do such a feat! We have lost close to the same amount of weight, but I have a little more to go, congrats on the loss, you've done awesome.

Thank you so much for such a great comment on my post yesterday. You are so right about getting mentally tired from focusing on weight loss. I think that once I added that to everything else going on I just kind of needed a break.

Hi Kimmy. I have only done the workout twice, but so far I can see how it is going to give me the results that I want in the amount of time that I have to dedicate to weight workouts. Its a good workout that only takes 20 minutes...can't really go wrong...plus the DVD was only $10, so really, what have you got to lose? 10 bucks and 20 minutes. Give it a shot if you can get your hands on a copy.
