crazy week but awesome WI

I am down 3lbs from last week's weigh in. Yay! 164 woo hoo :) I am stressing about this class, I have to take a quiz tomorrow and this information is not sticking at all. It is all about chemical make up of our bodies, and I have to know the difference between all sorts of chemical formulas. Yikes. I hope to get some studying in today during naptime and tonight. At least I got to sleep alot last night so I will have alot more energy :) Hope y'all have a great day!!! :)

busy day, fun night

Last night was really fun. We went to visit some friends and had a great time, they grilled steaks for us (really high in points I later discovered-oops!) and we had a great time talking. Got home around midnight, and the baby was up at 6:15 for her a.m. feeding. I am a little tired, but I really feel sorry for the husband who couldn't sleep and was up at 3am, and is still up. He is going to try to stay up till 8 tonight to get on a day schedule. At least he has an extra long weekend this week,… Continue

Woo Hoo!

Last night was my husband's LAST NIGHT of graveyard shift for a whole year, probably 3 more years! (until he makes it to Sgt. then he will be on a night shift again) WOO HOO!!! I am sooo happy. AND, I snuck a peek at the scale this morning to see what the weekend damage was- I am down! Yay. I was up 1.5 on Friday's WI but I think it had something to do witht he fact that I, um, FORGOT about WI until after breakfast and my usual coffee, so I had to WI after I ate which I NEVER do. So, yay for me,… Continue

another blog post!?!?!

We had a great day. I managed to stay OP, even eating at CPK! (california pizza kitchen) yum-o! I borrowed a chinese cookbook from mom, I am excited to make the potsticker recipe and see how many pts. it is. I bought the frozen ones and they are sooo good! 1 point each which isn't bad. Maybe I can make them even lower pts. myself! I wanted to say, also, that I thought to myself this evening driving home, maybe the reason I am having a hard time dealing with stress is that I stopped working out.… Continue

off to a great start

Every Friday, my weekly "flex" points restart. Sometimes I save them successfully, sometimes I don't. Yesterday was the latter. I totally burned through them, now I have 12 left. Oh well, at least I still have 12 left and I am not in the negatives! I have done that, too. It all started with that 3/4 costco muffin for 12 points at breakfast. Then, it was lunch at Johnny Rocket's- my grilled chicken sandwich no mayo was high in pts (12) and then I finished off the kid's chocolate milkshake- soooo… Continue

Hi Alison, I was also a teacher before I had my 2 kids. I taught for 6 years 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade. I am so impressed that you are going back to school for nursing. That is something that I have thought about doing, especially after giving birth to my children. I thought it would be amazing to be a labor and delivery nurse. They were my angels during my stay in the hospital. Are you looking at any area of nursing in particular? Keep at it. You'll get there...even if your youngest is out of elementary school by the time you finish. I wish you the best! Keep up the great work in your weight loss, too.

Hey Alison, It sounds like you're staying VERY busy! I'm glad that you're checking in so much. Sometimes it's hard for me to keep up on everything (I guess that's why I'm up so late!) I can't imagine school right now...what are you going back to school for? Keep up the good work...and hope this week shows a good loss for you!

So glad you liked it! It's a staple in my menu now because it's so low point and tasty!

Allison, thanks for the comment, It seems to be taking a little while to get back on track...I think today since i started journaling again, I realized how badly I was really doing. I am going to continue to journal, snack healthy, and stay accountable by posting my journal. we'll see...
Thanks again

That's so funny that you mentioned Chic-Fil-A because just that evening on our way to swim lessons we were going to go check it out. I had remembered seeing one near the swim center, so I got online and got all excited to get something there. The menu looked great!Wouldn't you know it...it wasn't there anymore! That's just how my day was going. However, we did find a new little place called the Spicy Pickle and I ordered a delicious El Ranchero salad with turkey, black beans, and corn relish with a yummy spicy dressing. It was low in points and something I'll repeat again for sure! What a great idea to go to the toy store to get out of the house. I'll have to keep that one on the list. :) Have a good 4th!

Allison, Thanks for checking up on me. I'm still here, but I've just had a really busy week. I've "checked" in a few times reading a few blogs and such, but just haven't added many comments or blog posts. I'll be back this week to see how everyone is doing and give my updates. I'm still on track and keeping the pace, so that's always a good thing! Thanks again for seeing how I was and I hope you had a great weekend!

Keep up the hard work in getting your backyard ready for the big party! Just think of how awesome it's all going to look when it's done. Take it a little easy, too, if you can, and try to enjoy the finished product. :)

Alison, you are such a better blogger than me, I have really been a slacker on blogging. But I love reading your posts. Look how much you have lost already!! I am jealous I must say. You know I am starting to realize that being on ATKINS is great, but I haven't learned any self control :( Which makes me think that I should SERIOUSLY considering just staying on WW.... I have been on a lose 2 gain 2, lose 2 gain 2, and its the same 2 pounds, up and down up and down... But I am glad you are doing soo good. Maybe you can share some of your menu plans, so maybe I can get a little inspiration.. BTW did I tell you we might be moving out of the country? I can't wait for your comment on this one....
