TRIO TUESDAY – July 7th, 2008

First things first, I weighed in today at 206. So down 4 lbs. I do contribute some of that weight loss to the fact that it was TOM last week and I retain water horribly during that time. None the less, I am happy and it was a good loss for the BL challenge. Go team red! Recap of last week’s Tuesday Trio (goals). 1- Short termer- This week, I will log points even with the holiday weekend! It is not an excuse to slip up 2- Mid termer- Couch to 5K – get back on the Couch25k Bandwagon after taking… Continue

TGFF

TGFF- Thank god for Flex, I think the reason I like weight watchers so much is it does give me the opportunity to live and make choices. One of those choices is to over indulge every now and then. I can stick to WW because I know I never have to give up stuff. It is unrealistic to say that I am going to go through my life time not eating desserts but it is realistic to say I am going to limit them and try and work them into my points (this includes flex points). I am not saying that everyone sho… Continue

In Control

Happy Saturday everyone! I had a great day yesterday and I only used 1 of my FPs. My family and I went out to a local recreational lake and took a little hike, played on the beach and enjoyed a picnic lunch. We came home to give our youngest a nap and I cleaned a little and made dinner. After dinner we went to the fireworks on the state capital grounds. The weather was awesome and made for a great night to be out. I had saved some points for the concessions and did well only having popcorn and a… Continue

Not much to say

I don’t have much to say today. It is my Friday being our offices are closed for the 4th. I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend hanging out with family. I also hope to get my homework done and our house cleaned. Yesterday was a good day eating wise. I was on target with points and didn’t use any flex. I am trying to save my flex for this weekend. Today, I am going to start back up on the C25k with a run at lunch. Breakfast Oatmeal 2 1/2 cup milk 1 Lunch fish 2 lettuce, spinach, 0 dressin… Continue

Rambling on...

I am trying to come up with a menu to control my eating over the 4th of July. I am lucky that the majority of the long weekend is in my control (boy does that sound good!). We are going to one BBQ at the in-laws but I am taking a lettuce dish and my MIL is pretty good about having chicken on the grill along with other meats. A lot of times, she has some type of strawberry dessert and since berry’s are all over the grocery ads this week, I don’t expect to see anything different. On Sunday, I am… Continue

This is the link to the muffin recipe. I think most people would want to scale it down to 24 or 48. Also, I think that kids and some adults would prefer about 2 ripe bananas mashed and mixed in per dozen. Of course, you would need to use this right away or you can pull out some of the batter and mix it in leaving some reserve mix for another batch the following week. Also, you could easily cut out a cup of sugar or maybe more if you planned on adding fruit.

Hi Steph! We moved to the cities in May of 2001...(man...that 7 years went fast!)...but I don't think we'll ever consider this "home". It's hard when all of your family is 500 miles away! And it so often seems the roads only go ONE way?? My mother-in-law comes here quite often...but not anyone else! If we want to see them...WE have to do the traveling. It's getting harder and harder as the kids are getting older. My daughter is 16, has a boyfriend and a job...so it makes trip back to ND hard to "schedule"..you know?

Hey Steph...I found a North Dakota girl on here! Yay! I graduated from Velva..but lived in Minot for 15 years before moving to the Twin Cities! I look forward to getting to know you! I have a TON of friends and some relatives in Bismarck/Mandan.

A burrito, huh? I can honestly say that doesn't tempt me. Those darn biscuits and gravy are a different story, though. At least we both got it out of our system.
