About Me....

I am from Vancouver, Canada and moved to Belize Central America in 1995. I fell in love with “Gilligan’s Island” and moved down with the “try it and see…you can always move back ” philosophy. Well 13 years later…3 children and a business later here I am.

Weight has always been a struggle for me since I can remember. I have to fight for a trim figure. If I take my “eye of the ball” even for a short time I put on weight. I have come to realize that exercise seems to be the key for me…without it I simply cannot lose weight.

Living here has its challenges as items from the US are limited and expensive. So unfortunately I don’t have all the resources that I would normally have but so far I am enjoying the “on Line” experience with Weight Watchers. Therefore if I ask some silly questions, please understand that I have been living in a different world!!

I read many blogs when I have time and find them to be truly inspirational and uplifting. This is my place to be accountable. Obviously meetings are not an option (even though I would love to go!) so I need this community. Thanks for all your help and comments.

November 30 WI - to be down to 229.5

When I reach "onederland" I would like to go home to Vancouver or to New York !!

My Daily goals and committments:
Excercise - something everyday either walking or yoga but something
Water - lots, lots and lots of water ( I am actually good at this ;-) )
Bite it Write it - to journal everything
Always remember it is a "budget" where do i want to spend my points?
Lastly not to give up....never !

Anyone else had a rough week?

Why is it when you think you are getting strong on plan that you can be blown over so easy? All was going well this week and then for some reason one thing leads to another and before you know it all you flex points and activity points are gone. The island is starting to pick up with the Thanksgiving Holidays fast approaching which quickly led to some poor choices under pressure! Anyway I managed to stay the same so I am pleased with that. FYI....

Oprah will be doing a show on the Biggest Loser tomorrow...previous contestants, the challenges that they still face etc plus Jillian and Bob!. Should be good!

Cooking Spray and Food Scales

I am not familiar with cooking spray...to be honest it always seems a little wierd to have food spraying out of a can! I notice a lot of you use it...which one do you like? Also any suggestions for a food scale? Digital and small? Thanks :)

Not the best day...

Bad day...I am slipping back to my old ways and I am so mad at myself. I was doing well not really bothered by the whole process. Now it is back to being a huge effort and struggle. Anyway I will get there. I am not giving up. Note to self...don't pay too much attention to the scale...the week I "only" lost 1 pound I felt thin....this week I lost 2.5 and feel heavier....The scale would have caught up the following week. Am I doing something wrong here?

So Sad today....I waited all week, behaved all week, racked up 39 activity points that I didn't use, did not use my flex points and all that I lost was one pound....I nearly cried. I was so excited to WI and then I look at the scale. I don't know what I am doing wrong or even if I am doing anything wrong...but this is really slow and I worked so hard this week. Thanks for your comment. Yes I always have a snack mid morning. But it would be nice not to HAVE to have it, you know? Yeah it seems anything with peanut butter helps hold me over in the mornings... plus it's delicious! I'll have to incorporate it more... mixing it in with plain oatmeal is sooo yummy!
