About Me:
I'm a 33 year old married SAHM to two great kids (3 and 6). I'm also a WWs Lifetimer struggling to get BACK to her goal weight. I know I can do it... I got there twice after having both kids! I just need to regain my focus. I hope beginning a blog and posting regularly will help me get back on track. I have so many thoughts racing around in my head about food and exercise and this seems like a good place to get it all out :)

I was very excited to find this new community and am proud to be a member. I hope to get to know everyone as we continue this journey together!

September 12, 2008 or, 'Didn't I Say I'd NEVER Eat Carrot Soup Again?'

Day 6 on my detox diet and I feel... GREAT!!!!!!!!!! I got so much done today. It was amazing. I was looking for stuff to do because I had so much energy. Remember that lady in 'There's Something About Mary'? The one that was picking up couches to vacuum? That was me, minus the speed, or whatever it was that she had taken. September 11, 2008 or "Ain't Nothin' Gonna Break My Stride, Even The Carrier Monkey"

Well, here we are on Day 5 of the Kill Me Now Detox Diet. OK, it really hasn't been THAT bad but imagine this: the kids are playing 'movie theater' eating popcorn and watching Happy Feet and I am over here with my TINY apple and TINY kiwi wishing I could be chowing down on that buttery heaven sent albeit microwave popcorn with them. September 10th, 2008 or "My Earlobes Hurt"

I've been fighting a headache for two weeks. It stemmed from this cold I had about 3 weeks ago. Yes, yes, that's too long for a headache but it mostly only hurt at night so I was trying my best to ignore it. Kind of like you do when someone's jingling their change in their pocket right next to you. It's really annoying and you try not to pay attention but it's no use. September 9, 2008 or, Keep That Raw Carrot Soup Away From Me Before Someone Gets Hurt

OMG I had the most wonderful workout on Tuesday! It was one of my two days during the week where both kids are at school so I have a short window to do whatever I want. YAY for Liz!! So I rushed right home and jumped on the treadmill. I'm doing the Couch to 5K so it was Week 1 Day 3. I got through it pretty well, minus all the parts where I thought might die. September 8th, 2008 or, 'How many vegetables CAN I eat in one day???'

Day 2 on the detox diet went pretty well. Except for that pesky gas. Hmmmm. Must figure out a plan for THAT one. Anyway, it called for the Detox Lentil Soup for lunch. Oooohhhh, yes, the organic red lentils make their debut in my kitchen!!! Thank you so much for the thoughtful comments. each day it is a little better. I went to a all you can eat place with my b-friend and I had salad. I really did it...I could not believe it. How are you FEELING...I love that my body is operating the way that feels good...I can't help but think the longer the better I will feel. I am never tired like I use to be. I happend so naturally it took some thought for me to remember that I used to be tired a lot and after a meal ...for get about it. My doc had alreayd told me I could cont on the plan for weight loss and add fish...I might so that, but then again...maybe just once or twice a week.

Thank you my dear! I have been known to put 75 minutes of interval elliptical training as well. Actually, I think that two days last week I had done that. It's easy to workout with the DVR. I can watch all of the Dr. Phil shows while I torture myself :-)

I definitely WILL NOT give up! I don't consider myself to have hit a plateau by any means. Usually the week after I can lose 1.5-2 pounds. However, my body, indeed may be slowing down a bit.

hey Liz...thanks for the tip about the water...my workout was great last night...it was a very busy night! Home to make dinner and eat after working out, then shower and fully dressed and make-up for a marching band meeting...(daughter plays the flute), and great news...got elected to the executive board of the marching band...big honor...love it!!...and thanks for the nice comments on my blog..this is fun, never crossed my mind that this could be so cool!!!...(and you're welcome!)
