Maintained this week - only 0.5 to go.

I maintained this week. I am content with that. However, the scale said 143 this moring, which is 1 lb. BELOW my goal. Whoohoo!! It's not official, though, since WI was yesterday. Once it is official, I will post some pictures of the transformation. Can't wait for you to see those. I need to get some permission from a couple of people to post, though. Anyway, have a great week and hopefully I will be below goal. We are cutting back on unnecessary expenses and I think the online tools may be the… Continue

Another one bites the dust....

WI today. Down 1 pound. Half a pound to go. The scale said 144 when I weighed in, but then said 144.5. I'll stick with that. I had a terrible, no journaling week and TOM is knocking on my door. I know I should be excited, and I guess I am, but I want to be uber excited. I am so exhausted with teaching preschool MWF mornings, daycare MF & thurs., homeschooling my son in the afternoons. MOPS on Tues mornings, class monday nights, choir Wedesday nights.......... And my kids are only 3 & 5.… Continue

Weigh in - 1.5 lbs. till goal

Well, despite we had my daugther's birthday party and I ate everything in sight AND the leftover bowl of chocolate frosting, I still lost. I am totally surprised. I am at 145.5 which leaves only 1.5 to lose until I reach my goal of 144. Obviously I didn't hit it when I wanted to, but I am content in it. I have, however, lost my drive. I don't know for sure the cause, but there is a lot of emotional things going on right now. I am beginning my job on Monday morning and that is stressful. And our… Continue

Friday Check in

It's been crazy busy around here. I didn't post on Wednesday for WI. I am at 147.0. Down .5 from last week. I didn't hit my goal of 144 by Monday, but I am still losing. The scale said 145.5 this morning. However, I have my daughter's birthday party here tomorrow. I am going to try and stay in control. I haven't used any FP's so that will help. Having 20 pts. per day was a huge mental blow for me. And now I feel hungry all of the time. I think this cold, rainy weather has my body thinking it nee… Continue

LOL! yah I don't think that dressing, pie and mashed potatoes are core!!!! You are right - if they were then we wouldn't be here!
To be honest, I have such freedom with CORE. I am hungry - I mean truly hungry - I eat. I had 22 points a day. If I ran or rode the bike I would get an extra 4 points...I could then dip in to FLEX points...but I would gorge on the weekend because I felt do deprived all week that I would use up my flex points and more...I was defeated before I even started. It hasn't always been like this. It is just since I entered the 22 point mark a few months ago and increased the intensity and frequency of my exercise. I still portion everything out...like flex but if I want more, I get more! It's awesome and sounds like it would work for you where you are right now in your journey. You look amazing! It is cool to see people change right before your eyes almost! Take care!

Hi Erin,
Weigh to go on your WI and on being so close to goal. You obviously have what it takes to persevere, even through tough times. I've been there with your church situation. Beloved leaders moving on and the uncertainty of interim situations. Just cling to that "All things work together for good. . . ." verse--it's always helped me. You mentioned home schooling. My daughter does that for her three (5,6,8) so I have some idea of just how busy your life must be. The other thing I noticed was your mission trip to Italy. We lived in Rome for 3 years and loved it! I also sing and know what you mean about gettiing confident in your gift. Rejoice.

I'm hoping I've got them convinced now after a retake of a quiz that would not help their grade but would get me to leave them alone. I can be quite annoying especcially during break! I also had them write a summary. All reading quizzes will now count as test grades, so hopefully I've gotten their attention.

Sorry. You may have enjoyed 24 point bliss for just a little longer. That's a big jump in points. Were you still losing at 24? If so, you may want to only lower your points to 23. I only lower my points when I seem to have plateued. I sort of ignore the quiz on purpose.

Hi Erin!!
Congratulations on getting so close to your goal!! What a great birthday present that will be for you to make it to 144. That's my ultimate goal, getting down to 143 - 145. I see you started somewhere in the 190's (I hope I added that right) how long has it taken you to to get to where you are now? You are very inspirational. :)

"Quit lying to myself and cheating the plan. Journal EVERYTHING"

You said it. That sums it up for me as well. I have been lying to myself. I didn't realize how MUCH i was taking in until I started journaling again...and planning ahead...and ALLOWING myself to sit on the couch with my husband while I drink chamomile tea and HE drinks the wine and eats the popcorn...self control, baby! I feel like I'm relearning!

Hey there- thank you for your input and comments. I will try to eat more. I know that I have been told over and over again to cap my AP at 4. So perhaps I need to be giving myself more as my body is thinking I am starving it. I stood up in church today and felt light headed. Guess I am not eating enough. Thanks again for your thoughts. I really appreciate it. Have a great week.

I think most people would be shocked to realize that kids really do like structure and order. The kids will never tell you that either, but they so do!
