I'm a 22 year old full-time college student and I also work full-time as a receptionist. I have always been 15-25 lbs. overweight. I have never really felt comfortable in my skin. Especially in high school, I always felt like the chubby friend. I had gained even more weight once I graduated high school and started college. My highest weight got up to 155 lbs. and thats a big deal when you're only 5'2. The weight gain was actually starting to affect my health. I am finally in my senior year of college and trying to take control of my life. I am getting married in September and I want to look "good" for my big day but that isn't my main motivator. I just want to be happy and healthy. I am happy in other areas of my life except for my body image and sometimes that carries over into how I act and makes me not want to be in certain social situations. I am on my way to a healthier me. I have lost about 10 lbs. so far and just need some encouragement along the way to keep me going.

Goals

HEALTH
- Reach 130's - Achieved 04/18/08
- Reach 120's -
- Lose 10% of starting weight 133 lbs. -
- Run on treadmill for 20 minutes -
- Attend weekly Weight Watchers meetings
- Get away from drinking soda, yes even diet!
- Workout atleast 4 times a week

PERSONAL
- Reach drivers license weight - Almost there!
- Wear single size jeans -
- Buy cute outfit from "The Buckle" or "Abercrombie" -
- Wear bikini and feel comfortable -

WEIGH-INS
* Ok, so I decided to weigh myself today (9/4/08), I weigh 141.5 lbs. which means I have gained about 5-6 lbs. since I fell of the wagon 3 months ago. I plan on attending my meetings on Thursday, so that is when I'll post my weigh-ins...

Going to Mexican for lunch!!!

So I am writing this post at 12:41 to get some thoughts out of my head. The girls from work and I are going to the local mexican restaurant for lunch. And I am craving all the things I shouldn't have. ( the fried chimichana, the cheese sauce) So I am trying to talk myself out of temptations as I am writing this blog. Food Log 9/3/08

Well, I am sitting here at the university waiting for class to start at 6:00. I stayed on points really well today. I haven't drank any pop however I did have a cup of coffee this morning but i think that is ok. At my local starbucks I found a really cute water bottle. I'll have to post a picture. I am just sitting here around 8:30 waitin for my soon to be hubby have his round of playstation. I wander if they ever grow out of playing playstation. =) Anyway, I found this cool website where I can sell back some of my old college text books so I am super excited. Ok I am soo over it

The last couple of posts I did have been about me getting back on track, yet I never do. I am sick of blogging about how I need to get on track again. Long time no see...

It has been awhile since I posted my last blog. I got off track with the weight watchers and I need to get back. Like I have said before if I stop blogging I stop losing. I have gained about 4 lbs of the 12 I have lost. So I need to get on track. My wedding is Sept. 20th so that is part of my incentive. Well I hope all is well.

My situation is similar to yours, I'm also a receptionist and finally understand the meaning of "office butt"! I've gained weight since working at the office, and being a full-time college student makes it even harder to find time to workout. Good luck to you, you've already lost 12 lbs. which is freaking awesome!

Hi, I was just searching through the blogs and came across yours. Just wanted to say hi because we weigh almost the same and have the same plan. It's been hard to find others with similar weight loss goals, I've only really seen people on these sites with a ton of weight to lose like 50+. Anyways, hope you have a good day!
