My name is Jamie. I live in Wooster, Ohio. I am a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic. I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I did manage to lose a lot of weight in high school. Before I started college, I was 115 lbs! Since going to college and having a kid...my son Tony is 5, I have gained a lot of weight. I've struggled for years trying to get it off. Hopefully this time is successful.

Been awhile

It's been quite awhile since I've been over here. Since I last posted alot has gone on. I started the new job...I'm starting my 3rd week tomorrow. So far...I love it! I don't dread going to work everyday. On the weightloss front...well, there hasn't been any weightloss lately. I've been playing with the same 3-5 lbs for about 1-2 months now. I got it!!!

I got the job that I wanted! I just found out today. So, no more going crazy waiting...and eating waiting! Don't know when I start yet. That's to be worked out between my current manager and my new one! That's all for tonight. I worked today and work again tomorrow morning....

Waiting...

Ok, so for an impatient person like me...waiting is horrible. I can't wait a whole week to WI...so I do it daily. I can't wait until I get a phone call from HR(to find out about the job). And it is killing me!!! I check my cell phone way too much to see if I missed a call. One of the girls that left my department to go to outpatient said it took like month to hear from HR. OMG! There goes that thought...

So, I had my WI yesterday. Down 0.2 lb(not counting the 1 lb gain from last week, so if I count from last week I'm down over a lb). So, I was really planning on this week being a much better week. I have my interview tomorrow, went shopping and bought a size 16 pant instead of a 18/20! Has to be a better week...right? NOT! Went to MIL's today for lunch. Whole family was there. WI tomorrow

This week has been a bad week eating wise. Actually the last 2 weeks have been that way. I started the week out at a wedding on Saturday. Did not track. Actually I counted that day as an off day. Did fine on Monday. Worked Tuesday night and stopped at McDonalds on my way home for breakfast. Worked Wednesday night(12 hour shift) and then had a job interview right after work, right across the street. So, I went and changed real fast and freshened up. Went to my interview. I'm a fellow Ohioian, now in NJ. My kids are grown now and live in the Cols area. I lost alot of weight when I moved here to NJ, eight years ago. Kept it off until lately, (menopausal weight gain). Joined WW this past Jan, after gaining around 15 pounds. I've lost 7. Yes, its slow, but its the best way to keep it off. At my age, I don't have much energy and have the start of Arthritis, so its very important that I stay moving as much as I can. It's great to find these blog sights with members all trying to accomplish the same goal. Lose weight and improve health. Good Luck, hope you Mothers Day was wonderful.
