I am a 37 year old mother of one son and have been married for fifteen years this August. I am a corporate recruiter, and work full time. I am about twenty-five pounds overweight. More importantly, I have challenges with exercise and stamina due to my weight and a physical disability. I have a form of muscular dystrophy called Charcot Marie Tooth Disease. In saying this, I do not see my disability as THE REASON I am heavy. Sitting on my rear all day in front of a computer and lack of exercise for the past few years is why I am heavy! I tell you about my disability only because it means I need to DO SOMETHING even more than the average person, or I will be in a wheelchair SOON! I really need some motivation to keep on track. I am an emotional eater, and I also just honestly lack discipline. I hope I can count on this community for that support!

I have lost about ten pounds since February. I HAD lost fifteen pounds, but have gained about five of it back! I was working out five days per week with a trainer and had been on an eating plan (1300 calories) and logging everything I ate. I also (am ashamed to say) I was taking an appetite supressent prescribed by my doctor. I did not take it every day, mainly half the dosage, but it did help with my eating. It made me very jumpy though, and I do not feel good about it. I have high blood pressure and am on medication (had it even when I weighed 120 pounds) and I worry about what the appettite suppressent is doing to me. My pressure is normal, but I often got light headed. I LOVED the way it made me thirsty though, and so I drank lots of water. It also TOTALLY cut all of my cravings (which I have a ton of- fried food, and sugar!). I just feel like I am a failure if I cannot do this without medication! HELP!
