About Me:
I am 38 and struggling to give back 50 pounds...I'm a tall women (5'11) I've always been 160-170..then i shot up to 190...no babies to blame...worked my way back to 170 and was feeling ok, but something happend and I shot all the way to 224. I wish i knew what my deal is...I have a desk job that could be part of it... I was feeling so down and hopeless...I was lost. I did not think I could ever lose. I dropped 19lbs with ww attending meetings. I dropped the meetings, but kept the web tool. I know I have gained some back, but I realized that weight loss is no longer my goal and health is...it does not matter if after a week I have not loss anything. hell it does not matter if after 6 weeks I have not loss, b/c the goal is health. So many times i have given up b/c my diet and work out did not produce the loss I expected. Now, i am working on being stronger and healthier...walking everyday (sunny and I are going bike ridding today), so I am sure the weight will come off, but i don't know when and more importantly...i don't care. I am loving me today! I also sent back some pants I bought 14L and replace with 16L. I have a closet full of beautiful pants I am "working to get in". I need pants now to reward the work I am doing now. I deserve to look nice at work. If I have to spend money to take them in later...I will gladly do so. I am sick of punishing myself for not being some other version of myself

5/15/08 216lbs (+7 from last ww weigh in)

30min 3.4/29 mins 3.0 and 1 min run 5.0
Plan of Choice:
Weight Watchers

WHAT IN THE HECK DO YOU ALL DO WITH YOUR CLOTHS???

My rant de jour…I can’t keep my home clean b/c I don’t have a place for all my cloths. The real problem I have a closets full of cloths sizes 8 – 16 …I love my 12s and 14s, but I am at least 40lbs for the size 14 and 60lbs from a size 8. My goal isn’t even a size 8, but a 12 . So, I guess I should donate the 8 and 10s and hold one to the 12s and 14s.

Adzuki beans are suppose to be very good for weight loss...Give it a try and let me know what you think. Calories in Adzuki Beans: 1 cup cooked = 224 calories SERVES 4 (change servings and units) Ingredients 8 ounces dry adzuki beans 6 cups water (I used vegetable stock) 1 large onion, finely chopped 4 stalks celery, thinly sliced 2 tablespoons fresh herbs, finely chopped… Continue

Hi there. I am doing pretty well. Not losing much weight, if any, but I am tracking much more and feel okay about things today. The surgeon released me on Friday with no restrictions, so I am looking forward to doing more exercise like yoga and biking. I already did a full yoga practice this morning and it felt awfully good!

How are you? How's your cleanse going? It sounds interesting and fun, but also challenging!

Hi Pamela! Things are going well over here. I'm on day 6 (of 7). How are you doing??? How is the nighttime snacking going?? I just saw the other post. You got some great advice!! I have to confess that whenever I am home alone (when the husband and kids are gone) the FIRST thing that always comes to mind is: what can I eat now that no one is watching?? UGH It's a hard emotion or feeling to get past. The best thing for me is to keep busy and focus on how much I have accomplished so that I don't sabotage myself. But I agree that it IS hard sometimes. I hope last night was a better night for you.

Crunchy... hmmm. Well I love raw fruits and vegetables, so I guess that's where I get most of my "crunch" from. Otherwise brown rice cakes are good too, and pickles. Just depends on your mood I spose! I can't wait to hear what the nutritionist says... I think they're so fascinating. If it didn't involve going back to a lot of school and lots of money, I would do it in a heart beat!

One of my kitties looks just like yours. His name is Toby, and he lives with my parents. We have four of our own. One of them is my profile picture.
