I CONFESS! Burgers, hot dogs, cookies, nuts, taco dip, brownies, deviled eggs, cheese, more taco dip, burgers again....OMG! I was out of control! But back on track as of yesterday and feeling good!!

About Me:
I am a 42 year old wife and mother...I've got a 16 year old daughter and two stepsons, one 16 and one 21. The older one is getting married to his high school sweetheart this summer so I will soon have a daughter-in-law as well.

I've had weight issues as long as I can remember and this is truly the only serious attempt at losing the weight I've ever undertaken. I'm not sure what is different this time but it's working. I guess I was finally ready, and I'll tell you it feels great.

Highest known weight: 310
Current weight: 245
Goal: 150

One hundred pounds to go seems like a huge thing, and it is...but I'm at 64.5 pounds lost and finally being able to put that big weight on the scale at the 200 and working my way down is great!

I work out at least 4 times per week, and I just joined Weight Watchers about 6 weeks ago after following an eating plan the folks at the gym had me on. WW is great and I find it much more flexible than the other plan.

I added free weights to my workout about a week ago and find that I really like it much more than the circuit at the gym...it's more challenging and I feel like I get more out of it. We'll see where that gets me!

The week so far...

So far I am doing fairly well with goals, but went way over my points yesterday...not sure what happened, but when I got home I was ravenous and ate not one but 2 philly pretzels...not sure if you know what they are but they are prabably 6 pts a piece, and I had about 2 oz of WW cheese on them...another 2-3 pts? Sunday night...

Well, my list was far too big last week. I am going to set some mini goals this week and see how I do. I never got around to cooking much of anything that was healthy til tonight. I had some spaghetti, with a nice healthy sauce and whole wheat pasta...but I confess to using frozen meatballs. So it was halfway there. Not good enough. One Week and Counting!

Well gang, we'll see how that weigh in goes tonight. My scale at home is finally where I think it should be but I have the day to get through before I weigh in at 5:45! Do I resist the temptation to NOT EAT? I know me, gotta eat....but how to manage that craving that I KNOW will hit at 2pm? It'll either be salty or sweet. Day 2

Day 2 was a good one yesterday, not totally OP, but balanced and a productive day. Sorry I haven't been posting, filters at work have the site partially blocked and I can't post a blog on my page, although I can comment on others. Day 1 - Biggest Loser

Here we are gang, day one Team RED! I am really excited about this challenge....I am heading to the gym tonight after work, and have all kinds of healthy low point foods with me at work today. Ice Cream Is The Root Of All Evil (in my world this week!)

So I bought THREE 1/2 gallon cartons of light ice cream over last weekend. What? They were "on sale"! I felt like I was getting a great bargain. Saving money over those handy Weight Watchers Latte Bars which I love. Those darned things are 5$ a box for 6...and my daughter loves them so she always wants to eat them too...and she's SKINNY! It's going REALLY WELL!!! It's so much fun and I'm totally addicted. I've already done about 20 pages (I'm working on two books...one from my wedding...there are a TON of photos and the other is a gift for a friend!)

Thanks!!! I decided to scrap my wedding photos (I have 1100 proofs with nothing to do with ;-) and do all the other things leading up to the wedding/honeymoon etc. I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and stocked up...all their scrapbooking stuff is 50% off. I'll let you know how it goes!!

I know... I wish I could have contacted you. Next time. We were on small highways--222, 422, 772--all those. We got stuck in a traffic jam on 222 and they detoured us. We passed by a yummy looking chocolate/ice cream store--couldn't get my husband to stop though!! And I saw a sign that your town was having (did have?) some sort of festival--my memory is a little blurry...

For the pumpkin mueseli I was talking about in my blog I just kind of eyeball it. I can give you some rough estimates though, and you should try it ASAP because it's just that good.

1/2 cup rolled oats + 1/2 cup yogurt (plain) + 1/2 cup milk. Leave overnight.

In the morning, add whatever you're craving! This one was 1/2 cup of pumpkin, about 1 t. of nutmeg, ginger and cloves and 2 t. of cinnamon. I drizzle pure maple syrup over the top, ground flax and about 1 T. of walnuts. Enjoy!
