I've gained about 30 pounds within the last 3 years after having 2 hip replacements. I was an avid walker, but now my back kills me when ever I walk any distance.

3rd Week & 4th Week Weigh In

Ok I didn't post last week 3 week weigh in: down .6 (I thought it would be more, do I was discouraged) 4 week weigh in: Down 1.4! much happier now. My goal for next week is 1lb

2nd- Week Weigh In

Down .6 I know it's not great, but it's better than up! (that's what they all say) But I mean it. I know I'm not perfect bet I am sticking to it. Changing some habits along the way.

#1 Keep up my food journal #2 Some sort of exercise daily (did start a walking group at work for Thursdays!)

Weigh in was yesterday I was down 1.6. Now exactly what I wanted, but I was down…So I’m happy. I will have faith in myself

Hi Holly! Thanks for the kind comments on my blog. I am in Washington, DC--I have never been to Northern CA, but it is on the top of my To Visit list! Thanks for the WW scale suggestion. I will look for it.

Aww thank you! I appreciate that! I wish you the best of luck on your journey (I feel you on the back pain - I herniated two discs in my lower back back in October and I'm STILL healing). I hope that your back strengthens soon!

I appreciate your response to my reply. We all need encourage-
ment each day because each day has its own set of challenges
as far as food choices go. I am involved in a series of meetings
related to church in a nearby town, and meals are involved. I have
just packed a bag with WW friendly snacks to have so I am not too starved when mealtimes come if the food is something that
is "risky." I will be interested in hearing how you progress. It is my
opinion that WW is the best way because we are taught all kinds
of coping strategies, yet we are eating "real" food. :-)
