About Me:
The name is Katie Beth. I am 22 years old and I just graduated from college. I have been married for almost four years. After graduating from college, I stepped on the scale and was horrified to see the number there. I recently discovered that I have some thyroid issues that have contributed to my weight gain, so now that I am all taken care of medically, I would like to focus on taking care of myself physically. So, here goes.....
Plan of Choice:
Weight Watchers
Workout Philiosophy:
I'm new to exercise

Mono....

Well... summer program ended and mono began. Man... mono has been hell. I am not really the type of person to "take it easy." It has been a challenge for me. Yikes. I am feeling better now... not 100% yet... but better. I started working out again last week and I am feeling like I am ready to begin my WW journey again. I am down 10 pounds, but I am not really super healthy. I have not been really paying attention. So... here goes. I meet with my trainer tomorrow morning and I am going to shoot f… Continue

Shake it...

Summer program has ended. I have a few weeks to take a breath and prepare for fall. I am planning on really kicking up my eating plan. I have become very consistent with working out and I am seeing gains in both my strength training and endurance. I am very happy with the gym and the progress that I am making. The one thing that I need to focus on now is meals. I struggle with grazing. I don't really eat meals per se. Life gets busy and it is easier for me to grab a granola bar or something. I h… Continue

Feeling it...

So, after my cross coast journeys, I have landed in our state's capital, which is about three and a half hours from home. I work in education and our program just received new federal grant funding, so we have to attend these workshops on how to monitor for the grant... yikes! So, I am hanging out in the capital! Eating has been difficult due largely to the large buffet type lunches served during conferences. I have also been traveling a lot, but I am trying to make smarter choices. I am also ve… Continue

I'm a west coast girl.

I am a West coast girl. I am just about as far Northwest as one can get... so, for work, I got to attend a conference in Florida. I have never been any farther East than Chicago, so this was a bit of an experience for me. We flew into Charlotte, NC and then into Jacksonville. It was quite possibly the worst flight EVER. EVER... needless to say I will not be returning to the East for quite some time. The conference was catered, so it was a little difficult to remain 100 % OP, but I did okay. I wo… Continue

Of course...

I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and a host of other really fun physical ailments. I started some hormone replacements and I was so stoked because yesterday was the first day that I really felt GOOD. Exercise has been really tough because my body gets physically exhausted before I even hit my target heart rate. I usually have pretty good endurance and I can jump on a piece of cardio equipment and go for 45 minutes. Lately, when I hit 15 minutes, my body feels like death. I was so pro… Continue
