An almost 50 year old woman but I still feel 35. LOL Tired of struggling with my weight. Can't use the pregnancy excuse since my babies are 23 and 21. I do walk four or more times a week but I know I need to incorporate strength training into my program but seem to struggle to get to that point. I really do try and eat healthy and of course I fall for the bad stuff. I know SUGAR is my downfall and I don't know how to overcome it. Any suggestions??

Well too much GOOD FOOD this weekend. Am up 2.4 pounds. Oh well I just have to get on track again. Could be a lot of water retention..you know restaurant breakfast, dips, botana, and birthday cake. We'll see in a few days when I get on the scale again
OK tonight is BOOK CLUB I hope I can manage to control myself. Since I will be driving I know I WILL NOT have too much to drink. And it is mexican night (my downfall) so I will want to taste test everyone elses dishes and tomorrow is a birthday party for my great neice with more mexican, cake (my absolutely favorite food) and ice cream. I better plan on stepping up my walking for the week-end. I will let everyone know how it goes by Sunday. Theresa

Hey there Theresa! I noticed that you seem to be friends with Tina, and that she is from MI like me! Dare I assume you are also from MI? I'd be interested in being "friends" with you and Tina. I'm new to this blog thing and was looking to find some folks that were closer to my age to "play with" here. And, Tina just seems like a delight not matter that she is a whipper snapper! LOL So, welcome here and good luck to all of us on this weight loss journey!
YAY, I am glad you are here. I just thought this may help us out, for losing weight. Can't hurt to try, right? I didn't make it to the gym today because Angelina had a program at school. I am going to the gym tomorrow morning, and tomorrow night. I am not weighing in until Saturday, so I have some time to work my butt out!
