I loath exercice, I'm new to exercise
I am a 23-year-old, SAHM to my beautiful little girl, Hadley. DH and I are both doing the WW Flex plan. On our own. No meetings. We've both gained a lot of weight since we got married Dec '06. He gained right along with me during my pregnancy, and neither of us lost the baby weight. Actually, I lost all but 2 lbs of my 20 gained, but have since gained it back. So I now have 18 pounds to get back to my pre-baby weight. Hello?! I thought you were supposed to lose weight more easily while nursing, not gain it! LOL I guess that's what becoming a SAHM does to you.
My sister, Kellie (who brought me to this site) is my go-to girl for all my WW ?'s. I surely hope I can drop all this added weight, plus some. Hopefully somebody has plenty of weight-loss dust to spread around!

Getting in those AP's

This week, my goal has been to earn 22 AP's, which is one more than I've done the previous 2 weeks. I just got home from a 45 min walk in great 85-degree weather and entered my walk into my 3-month tracker. Then decided I'd better add up how many I've done thus far, figuring I'd have to walk longer tomorrow to make sure I'd hit my goal. After figuring my week's 'earnings' I was pleasantly surprised! I've already gotten in 23 this week! (So my head tells me way to go! you don't have to walk tomor… Continue

Week Six - Double YAY!

I doubled my loss from last week! I lost 2.4 for a grant total of 11.2! I'm at 177.2 now. I actually weighed myself twice, and the other one was 176.6 without clothes (my usual weighing method) so if you wanna be technical I lost 3 but I'll stick with the first one - I'm excited about that! I walked every day last week except for one but I stayed busy with housework. I'm noticing a trend (go figure...read on) the last two weeks I've done a ton of walking and both weeks my weight loss climbed. I… Continue

Week Five - Yay!

I feel victorious! I weighed in today at 179.6, down 1.2 from last week for a total of 8.8. What a relief - my last 2 losses were both less than a pound so this is great! It's not coming off quite as fast as I'd hoped, but nonetheless! I'm really feeling good today. It's just too bad it's rainy today or I'd take DD out for a long walk! OOOOHHH! I walked every single day this last week! I earned 21 AP's total - I never imagined I'd earn that many, ever! My mp3 player should be delivered the end o… Continue

Week Four

Okay so WI this morning wasn't as great as I'd hoped, but it was more than last week! I'm down 0.8 lbs from last week at 180.8 for a grand total of 7.6 lost. I ate not so great this week because it was 'that time' and my chocolate cravings were in overdrive. But I am feeling positive, nonetheless, considering what my food choices have been. I really cut into my FP, whereas I use them sparingly most the time. I still managed a loss, though! We did eat out on Sunday, I had Sweet & Sour Chicken… Continue

Week Three - Ugh!

So my at-home weigh in today was disappointing to say the least. 181.6, which is only down .4 lbs! I felt like I did quite well this week. I was so bummed. I went and ate a slice of Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie for 4 points. I wanted to eat something worse than that but don't wanna completely kill it so I settled. Yay for emotional eating, eh? Oh well. I hardly use any of my weekly points either...I think I used maybe 5 last week. Grr. However, it WAS still a loss no matter how small. I just expe… Continue

You're now walking every day, huh? That's better than I'm doing. I still have "off" days once in a while. Good job!

It is hard to find a time to walk when the weather is so hot. Fall will be here in no time, and I love walking in the fall. I'm also weird in the fact that I love getting bundled up to walk in the winter. Luckily the weather here at camp has been wonderful, so I've gotten in an hour walk and a half hour walk so far.

OK ... the challenge is on! I'd better log off here and get a walk in before work, eh?

Chocolate cravings are evil. I found some sugar free chocolate cookies that come in little packs that are only 1 point, and they're really helping me. I'm doing okay, but I have no idea what I weigh. For some reason, my scale keeps giving me all these different numbers. It's always been reliable in the past, and my husband has been weighing and he's getting consistent numbers. I'm not sure what's going on. Right now, I'm just having to rely on the fact that I'm staying on point.

I'm not positive about the science behind it. My guess, a slightly educated guess, is that your body needs a certain number of calories to run. I think WW took it in to account when they created the plan. And the created the plan to be a life style not a diet. It's so much easier to stick with the program if you are satified with the amount of food you are eating! This is just a guess though :) I just know it has worked for me!!

I was married young too. I turned 20 the week after my wedding. I never intended to marry young because I was serious about finishing school, but I knew it was right, and I still finished my degree. I still felt young though. I think this last year of teaching was really when I started feeling old. It doesn't matter how young you are, if you're a teacher, you're just not "cool" anymore. I went to a football game, and so I'm waving at all of the players I teach, and so one of the boys didn't want anyone to know he was waving at me, so he didn't even turn around and just put up two fingers above his head to acknowledge me. It was hillarious!

The thought of having kids makes me feel like a kid all over again. I guess I'll feel better about it when I'm ready!

My first year to teach was actually two years ago, so I was 22. It wasn't really weird to me because I was already married. I've always looked a little bit older than I am. I just made sure to keep a tight lip on my age. I love to joke around with my students, but I also know what I'm teaching them is important, so I'm always trying to balance the two. I have learned how to be tough and demand respect, and some days I'm like if they only knew how old I am, they'd die. And of course many days, I also feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. I truly love my job though.

Your little girl is so cute. To me, having children is something that is scary. We are starting to think about having children, but the thought just really scares me.

I'm half way through and it took me a year and a half to get to this point so hopefully only another year and a half at most. Hopefully!
