Wow, its almost been 2 months since I was last on the site. Yikes! Its been a busy, stressful summer. Things seem to have calmed down some and even if they haven't, I spent last week doing some soul-searching. Its time to make ME the priority. That's not to say I am going to shrug my other responsibilities, but I have to build in my time. My time to eat properly, my time to exercise, my time to be me.

The weekend started with Friday night's movie and dinner of popcorn and coke. Oops!
Saturday was pilates, which was great, except for the soreness today. I didn't eat too well on Saturday, emotional eating got the best of me.
Sunday was NIA class, which helped work some of the soreness out. I love that class, its such a good workout without feeling like a workout. I also journaled and ate within my points, so yea me!

I went to my first ever pilates class this morning. This was a beginner class but at the start, the instructor asked who I had done this before, I was the only one who had not. I was very pleased to see that I could do the majority of the moves. It wasn't until about 45 minutes in, when I started getting tired that I needed to rest. Not bad, considering I was, by far, the largest person in the class. I'm looking forward to continuing to go and track how much progress I make over the summer.

Last night, I had a great workout. The endorphins were psyched and so was I. Today, I got some sad news about a friend, so we went out to lunch to console ourselves. I journaled and was in control, so I felt pretty ok. And then, I came home and weighed. And OMG...a number I have never seen before and totally fear. The day started out great, I went to the gym and planned to do the elliptial for as long as I could and then finish my 30 minutes on the treadmill. I started a mag and lo and behold, when I checked the time, it had been 22 minutes. So, I ended up doing 30 on just the elliptical!
Food wise, I made some poor choices and its not 10:20 and I am still finishing my water, so I'll be up all night, but I am getting it in! I did journal, so today, its 3 more stars!

Now we need to get WA to make mini-bagels and we'd be set. (Of course, their big bagels are just 1 Point each, so minis would be less ... maybe they can't make anything less than 1 Point.) The regular-sized ones last me a while because unless I'm using them as a sandwich, I only eat 1/2 at a time.
