Profile Information

About Me:
I'm 25 years old. Been married to my High School sweetheart, Kevin for 5 years. We have a 3 year old daughter named Amelia and a 19 month old son named Paul. I work Tuesday-Friday as a Registered Dental Assistant. Monday is my day off and enjoy staying home with my kids.

I started Weight Watchers May 4, 2007, when my son was 6 months old. At that time my weight was 178.8, but the end of August I was down to 156#. Then we went to our State Fair and I lost all ground. I've only done WW online with the support of my husband and my good friend Kelly. In January I cancelled my WW subscription as I felt I was making now headway. I decided that today I need to change the way I've been eating and get my grove back. My current weight as of 5/19/08 is 159.4 and my goal is to lose 15 pounds and get down to 145# by August 1st, 2008.
Plan of Choice:
Weight Watchers

I'm no longer MIA!

I'm back!! I just realized it's almost been a week since I posted here. Last week was crazy busy and this week will be as well. I'm ready for things to slow down already! We had a nice weekend. Friday night we had friends over for dinner. I cooked a beer can chicken on the grill when I got home from work, made oven roasted red potatoes, cut them up, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with Tastefully Simple's Seasoning Salt. YUM! I also made corn and green beans and fresh baked whole w… Continue

what a bad day!

My day started out just terrible. I woke up late (6:00 am), need to leave my house by 6:30 to be to work by 6:45 (this RARELY happens), go to get in the shower...NO HOT WATER!! So I yell to the hubby and tell him the hot water isn't working. He goes and checks the water heater, at this point I was ready to call and yell at someone (we just replaced it two years ago), he finds out the pilot light went out. So no shower for me this morning. Kevin had showered last night before bed. I hate going to… Continue

a crazy hectic day

Today started out well. But as the day went on it didn't end so well! I made some poor food choices today and am feeling a little quilty about it! What a nice day today was, I wish I didn't have to work so I could have been outside to enjoy it! We had a staff meeting over work so I didn't get outside until 5:00 tonight. Breakfast: 1-light english muffin: 1 points 1/2 T butter: 1.5 points 1% milk: 2 points 1 cup green grapes: 1 points Breakfast total: 5.5 points Lunch: 1/2 Turkey Bacon Ranch W… Continue

the scale reads...

...the exact same as last week. <155.8 lbs> I wish it would have went down, but I'm happy with not gaining and the fact that it stayed the same, especially because I didn't have some of the best eating days last week. Especially over the weekend, because I didn't track at all. And I felt like I ate a LOT this weekend. I felt more hungry than usual! Who knows!! Father's Day was nice and I think the hubby enjoyed his day. We didn't do a lot. I let him sleep in while I made homemade strawber… Continue

a total splurge day.

A nice day again in Minnesota! The weather this spring has been so strange! We are just getting "spring" now and it's almost already mid-June. Bad storms last night, but thankfully today was a nice day. The first night of Paul sleeping in his crib with the crib tent went fairly well. It took him almost an hour to fall asleep, he woke up when I checked on him, I brought him in our room for about 10-15 minutes, got him calmed down and almost to sleep and put him back in his room and he slept until… Continue

I use Heritage Makers for my digital scrapbooking. It's online. You can either create something in photoshop and then just place it in the book to print or if you are like me and totally clueless about photoshop, they have scrapbooking tools that you can use online. I absolutely love it! They have all different sizes of books, as well as greeting cards, posters, calendars, playing cards, etc. Also when I am feeling lazy there are tons of premade templates that you can use. As far as the books go, they are better quality than I've ever seen before. The website is www.share-your-stories.com if you want to check it out. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

I saw in "Introduce Yourself" that you like to do digital scrapbooking. Me too! Do you have a program on your computer and print them out? Or do it online and get it printed out? I love this kind of stuff!

Happy Friday Angela!
We were one of the lucky ones. My son and I actually SAW the tornado on our way home from Best Buy. It did quite extensive damage 1 block north of us. And that little path of destruction stretched about 3 miles in either direction from our house. Mostly trees, fences and roofs damaged. Our only casualty was my 3-burner gas grill was flipped over and all the knobs on the front were broken off. Very minor issue...compared to what others had to deal with! Thanks for asking!
